Arcodesign papers and cards also stand out for their whiteness: the tone is so natural, with the advantage that it makes extremely limited use of optical bleaches.
ICONOSTASIS
Working in oils and echoing the style of the Old Masters, Mitch Griffiths produces modern paintings which touch on themes such as nationhood, iconography, ‘cult beauty’ and celebrity culture.
A virtuoso painter, Griffiths uses a hyper-realist technique, working the canvas through the traditional chiaroscuro and utilising a single light source to both shape and highlight his figures on the canvas. ‘Many people say my paintings look photo-realist’, he says, ‘but it’s not what I’m trying to achieve. I’m trying to make the viewer enter MY reality’
The show catalogue printed on Fedrigoni Stucco Old Mill was as Griffiths said ‘the perfect paper for reproducing what I had created on canvas’. Fedrigoni Stucco Old Mill is a traditional felt marked paper that retains all the characteristics of a fine uncoated stock with a special ‘Stucco’ surface which brings sharp definition to colour imagery, perfect for art reproductions.

More about Fedrigoni:
It is nearly as old as communications itself. Paper tells stories - the way it looks, the way it feels to touch, and even the way it smells.
Today, paper is as versatile and technologically advanced as any silicon chip. Fedrigoni have been refining the art of making fine quality specialty papers for more that 120 years. Striking, tactile surfaces, vivid colours, papers that can be bent, cut and folded into almost any form you can imagine.
In an age, when almost all of our communication takes place in a sterile online environment, the tactile, sensory qualities of paper have become more powerful, and even more invaluable.
FEDRIGONI papers can demand your attention, or retire gracefully into the background. In your hands, paper is no ordinary communication medium - it is an art in its own right.
